Industries of The New North region have a long history of contributing to national defense.  In an effort to provide insight and quantify the local value chain, research has been conducted utilizing the Purdue Defense and Security Industry Cluster to identify input and output NAICS codes which are represented in The New North Region.  By harnessing data collected by the EMSI software system it is possible to create a value chain diagram indicating relative industry concentrations, 5 year growth/decline trends, and high employment (greater than 1,000 individuals) industries.
